The Other Side of the Radio
"I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, beg you to lead a life worthy of the calling to which you have been called, with all lowliness and meekness, with patience, forbearing one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace."

While you were sleeping
It's not the reading for today but...
"Stay awake!"
Whenever Father Gordon gets a chance to give a homily on that reading, he always says those words with such force that you can't help but wake up!
Please wake up and realize what's becoming of the country we love so much!

Picture meme
Yay! Tagged for a meme again! Thank you, Aunty Esther! :-D
Here's the deal - go to your pictures, go to the 6th file, go to the 6th picture and then post it. For bonus points [yeah, sure, there's points] see if you can remember even taking the picture.
I hope I'm not really breaking the rules...the sixth folder in our computer was one with holy cards. The sixth folder in our pictures' folder didn't have us in it and wasn't a nice scenic picture by CT either...
So here's the sixth one from the birds' folder:
Baby bird Merri! The latter part of March 2007 some weeks after hatching day.
She and Pippin were so sweet that morning, curiously poking their beaks out wondering what was taking breakfast so long. What they did not expect was a huge unknown dark object unscrupulously trying to see through the bars!
K, now I tag...

Found here
If you can, read Anne W. Carroll's Christ the King Lord of History or Christ and the Americas. Yup, the ones from Seton Home Study...but for record, these books are the best history books I've ever read. If you've grown up with the not-too-Catholic history texts, they could really change your view of America because the author not only presents history from a Catholic's pointview, but takes into account the shift in moral values.
(wow, just realized it's been a while since the last book reviews..)
Sites to see!
Posting in between days...
Yesterday was Saint Faustina's feast day!
We attended a Divine Mercy conference during the past weekend and a pro-life youth rally. Interesting way for kids to spend an entire weekend :-) but yes, we had tons and tons of fun!!
Click here for a Divine Mercy Site
Tomorrow is the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary♪
...and another one with a million versions of Ave Maria♫
(alright, not a million, but a whole lot!)

Guess the Saint
Part II!
It's one poem about the same saint even thought it looks like six. I couldn't get the punctuation...
There she sat a young lass
Hopeful cadence from prayer fast
Hope to save the renegade
Fervent soliloquy desperately prayed
Enamored by the great solitude
All hate did desert oasis elude
Betrothed she was though edict firm
Sincere the love, so tables turn
Stricture expected, contempt and snub
Did not succeed to erase her love
Insensate to all else but Christ
Seeking good in others, little price
Though all usurp oasis around
Nothing malicious could muffle her sound
Ever faithful to above triumvirate
Vestment confirmed vocation sought
Votary peaceful, vocation love
Canon approved from the above
Free of blasphemy, pure and true
Denouement now saved for few
Steadfast faith through suffering
In heaven now with angels sing
Spending heaven for all
Showers of roses ever fall
Oh, and Happy Feast of Saint Therese!! :-D
