Feast Day

Happy Feast to my friend, Saint Saturninus!!
Acctually, I'm not sure if he is my patron saint for '08 or another Saint Saturninus

...but a happy feast to both of them

"...indeed, we are called to join them."
The saints are holy men and women who have attained their glorious reward in heaven...
...and ultimately, isn't that our goal as well?

Thank you, Aunty Esther!!

Pass this on to 5 blogging friends. Open the closest book to you, not your favorite or most intellectual book, but the book closest to you at the moment, to page 56. Write the 5th sentence, as well as two to five sentences following that.

Here goes:

"Ah, music! Music! Send them back without me, Thomas; I will live here in Chelsea and make music."
- A Man for All Seasons by Robert Bolt
(A play about Saint Thomas More, and yes, that was really the closest book!)

Abortion: An Innocent Baby’s Point Of View

Three cheers for Eva!

"month 1
Mommy, I am only 8 inches long, but I have all my organs. I love the sound of your voice. Every time I hear it, I wave my arms and legs. The sound of your heart beat is my favorite lullaby.

month 2
Mommy, today I learned how to suck my thumb. If you could see me, you could definitely tell that I am a baby. I’m not big enough to survive outside my home though. It is so nice and warm in here.

month 3
You know what Mommy, I’m a girl!! I hope that makes you happy. I always want you to be happy. I don’t like it when you cry. You sound so sad. It makes me sad too, and I cry with you even though you can’t hear me.

month 4
Mommy, my hair is starting to grow. It is very short and fine, but I will have a lot of it. I spend a lot of my time exercising. I can turn my head and curl my fingers and toes, and stretch my arms and legs. I am becoming quite good at it too.

month 5
You went to the doctor today. Mommy, he lied to you. He said that I’m not a baby. I am a baby Mommy, your baby. I think and feel. I can hear you and I know I love you. Mommy, what’s an abortion?

month 6
I can hear that doctor again. I don’t like him. He seems cold and heartless. Something is intruding my home. The doctor called it a needle. Mommy what is it? It burns! Please make him stop! I can’t get away from it! Mommy!! HELP me!! Mommy, please make it stop Mommy!! I’m sorry Mommy! Make it stop! Please make it stop!!!…

month 7
Mommy, I am okay. I am in Jesus’s arms. He is holding me. He told me about abortion. Why didn’t you want me Mommy?

Every Abortion Is Just . . .
One more heart that was stopped. Two more eyes that will never see. Two more hands that will never touch. Two more legs that will never run. One more mouth that will never speak.
Repost this if you have a heart and are aganist

Music galore

Sorry, can't help it! I know I've been posting music left and right, but I just like music...a lot...

Well, I'm not posting the next song just cause it's one of my favorites (or..maybe that's one of the reasons), but because today's reading and one a few days ago reminded me of it. It was the reading about a man who kept calling for Jesus to heal him, and though Jesus did not answer his pleas immediately while others around the man were constantly attempting to muffle him, he kept persisting. That's probably just one viewpoint of the song...

Not to mention, I promised to post it. Sorry, couldn't find one that wasn't so dizzying.

Oh, and it happens to be one of my dad's favorites too.

What do you stand for?

Grey
By BarlowGirl

Grey's my favorite color
Black and white has never been my thing
I'll take my drink lukewarm now
Hot and cold is not the thing for me
Absolutes are hidden
I've buried my convictions

I cannot be blind no more
Numb to what I'm living for
Help me stop this compromise
That justifies these lies
I need Your passion
In this life

I don't want to impose
Who really needs to know what I believe?
Cause no one likes rocking boats
Who really cares to see the way I see?
Absolutes are hidden
I've buried my convictions

So give me the fire
God, give me the fire
And raise this life higher

A letter to grown-ups voting

"Dear grown-ups,

Could you help me out? 'Cause I've been hearing about things going on in America these days everywhere; the TV, radio, internet, and anywhere in between. I can't understand much of what's happening, so if you please?
Well, first, could you define the word 'change'? I know the one in the dictionary says 'the process of becoming different', but could you explain it further? Isn't change supposed to bring you closer to God and your Faith? Isn't change supposed to help you grow in holiness? Isn't change supposed to benefit one's ability to help others? Basically, isn't change supposed to make life better?
Like Pope Benedict and the Traditional Latin Mass some months back. Was that change good? Well, are our lives more centered on God? Are we closer to Him than before? Did that change reduce the list of wrongs before the change? That's what I mean.
Hey, how about abortion since it's one of the topics most heard about? Will this change benefit the good in America? Will our lives become more centered on God because of it? Will we become closer to Him due to it? Will it reduce the number of wrongs? Can abortion truly draw one closer to God and increase holiness?
Just wondering.
Now could you define 'country first'? Does it have to do anything with 'Do nothing from selfishness or conceit' or 'Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others'? Just wondering 'cause I heard it at Mass today.

Sincerely,
Anna Namous"

Happy Feasts of All Saints and All Souls

Te Deum laudamus: te Dominum confitemur.
Te aeternum Patrem omnis terra veneratur.
Tibi omnes Angeli; tibi caeli et universae Potestates;
Tibi Cherubim et Seraphim incessabili voce proclamant:
Sanctus, Sanctus, Sanctus, Dominus Deus Sabaoth.
Patrem immensae maiestatis:
Venerandum tuum verum et unicum Filium;
Sanctum quoque Paraclitum Spiritum.
Tu Rex gloriae, Christe.
Tu Patris sempiternus es Filius.
Tu ad liberandum suscepturus hominem, non horruisti Virginis uterum.
Tu, devicto mortis aculeo, aperuisti credentibus regna caelorum.
Tu ad dexteram Dei sedes, in gloria Patris.
Iudex crederis esse venturus.
Te ergo quaesumus, tuis famulis subveni: quos pretioso sanguine redemisti.
Aeterna fac cum sanctis tuis in gloria numerari.
