Write away meme

Pueo started this meme! Hip Hip Hurray!!!
Hers is much better though :-D

"Now I place the same challange on you, write a six-sentence, coherent paragraph with no repeating words and see what you come up with!"

The little birds cocked an eye.
Scrutinizing looks asked just why
Their stomach growled and food bowl lay empty.
Squawking loud so friend could see,
Ignore her book, hear high plea.
They flapped, screeched, for all friendship’s worth
To draw that girl out of Middle Earth.
Startled from peaceful reverie
Disappeared were tales with hobbits in Bree.
Moving toward those DLFs three
She simply said “Yes, your majesties!”

Any repeated words?
Well, I tag CT :-)

What's the reason for it?

Those times when sadness is at its height, when nothing seems to go right, and when it feels like the world is coming to an end...isn't that when we are closest to God?

Requiem aeternam dona eis, Domine,
et lux perpetua luceat eis.
Requiescant in pace.
Amen.

Interesting, here's today's reading. (really, they didn't change it)
mmm...coincidence?
probably not :-)

Steps

One good thing in a list of a gazillion good things about homeschooling, is that your own siblings are your classmates and you get to review what you learned in the previous grades while you help them. (and if you happen to have more than one younger sibling... )
My youngest brother was learning the reasons why we pray. (He was trying very hard to memorize and it didn't help that I was eating lunch in front of him...)
It reminded me about something Mom taught my friends and I:

Steps of prayer
-Come to God with expectations
-Ask the Holy Spirit to come
-Ask for forgiveness
-Praise and thank Him
-Listen to God
-Supplications (ask for help)

For someone whose mind doesn't stay still for a minute, I've found it pretty helpful. :-)

What CT, Cy, & Sunny did during the Summer

Hide from the camera

Fill up gazillions of boxes

Carry them...somehow...

Read lots'n'lots of books

Get dizzy from rides on the swirly chair

Attend a couple of retreats (Cy and CT)

Explore!

Go camping...the tent is much bigger than it looks!

Play

Watch plants grow

...Oh, and eat cookies!!!!

We thank God for a fantastical summer!!!

Hope you had a great summer!
Well, back to school! Another year of learning fun. Yup, fun!! Who says reenacting the Civil War complete with swords, costumes, and music was boring? :-D
