Another meme!

Yikes, this month is filled to the brim with memes! :D

Thanks to Mrs. Esther for the tag!

“Here are the rules: Each player lists 8 facts/habits about themselves. The rules of the game are posted at the beginning before those facts/habits are listed. At the end of the post, the player then tags 8 people and posts their names, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment, letting them know that they have been tagged and asking them to read your blog.”

1. We go to Mass everyday. If we're unable to go to the noon Mass, we go to the early one or a much later one.

2. I could spend all day reading. (it's been accomplished too!)

3. Music is one of the most essential things to me and my family. Not a day goes by without some song going on in my head, or pouring out from the car's radio, or being coaxed from a musical instrument by one of us kids.

4. I love featherballs - er, I mean birds. The unique design God gave them is truly amazing. From the fierce Peregrine Falcon to the tiny Strawberry Finch, birds are one of the many remarkable creations.

5. I learned to type faster by using the Yahoo instant message when Mom was traveling. (and playing piano probably helped a little, speaking of which...)

6. I really, really, really didn't want to play piano when I was littler.

7. I can probably write a lot of things in this blog, but I wouldn't be able to have a real conversation with anyone without stammering, staring at the floor, bitting my lip.....

8. I can't sew, but I can cross-stitch.

ummmmm......

oohhhh...I know!

Therese's Roses members, you're all tagged! :-)

Riddle for May

Statue of Mary, Star of the Sea

Can you guess the answer to this May poem?

Frisking lightly in the sun
Lovely colors for everyone.
Orange, blue, violet,
Wonderful to behold till sun is set.
Evening comes, morning follows
Rightening themselves each year and morrows.
So now that this little poem's been said,
The secret word can now be read.

Need to send a card?

Neat...I've forgotten where it's from, but did you know the word "card" is in the word "cardiac" meaning heart?

Anyway, if you still need to send a Happy Mother's Day card, the Daughters of St. Paul have a great website. Don't worry, they're free. :-)
It may not be as glamourous as some other sites' e-cards, but it still has awesome music and beautiful cards.

Happy Mother's Day!

Picture from Patron Saints Index

Happy Mother's Day to all Mothers!!!

A mother is a person

Who's always there for you

When skies are dark and cloudy

Instead of bright and blue.

Who wipes away the tears

No matter how many your years.

Who rejoices in your renewed elation,

And waits for your return in silent anticipation.

Latin Rosary

Found here and here
(literally click the word here)
How to say the Rosary in Latin

Signum Crucis (Sign of the Cross)
In nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritus Sancti. Amen.

Symbolum Apostolorum (Apostle's Creed)
Credo in Spiritum Sanctum, sanctam Ecclesiam catholicam, sanctorum communionem, remissionem peccatorum, carnis resurrectionem, vitam aeternam. Amen.

Oratio Dominica (The Lord's Prayer)
Pater noster, qui es in caelis, sanctificetur nomen tuum. Adveniat regnum tuum. Fiat voluntas tua, sicut in caelo et in terra. Panem nostrum quotidianum da nobis hodie, et dimitte nobis debita nostra sicut et nos dimittimus debitoribus nostris. Et ne nos inducas in tentationem, sed libera nos a malo. Amen.

Say three times:
Ave Maria (Hail Mary)
Ave Maria, gratia plena, Dominus tecum. Benedicta tu in mulieribus, et benedictus fructus ventris tui, Iesus. Sancta Maria, Mater Dei, ora pro nobis peccatoribus, nunc, et in hora mortis nostrae. Amen.

Gloria Patri (Glory Be)
Gloria Patri, et Filio, et Spiritui Sancto. Sicut erat in principio, et nunc, et semper, et in saecula saeculorum. Amen.

Oratio Fatima (Fatima Prayer)
O mi Iesu, dimitte nobis debita nostra, libera nos ab igne inferni, conduc in caelum omnes animas, praesertim illas quae maxime indigent misericordia tua.

Eia, ergo, advocata nostra, illos tuos misericordes oculos ad nos converte. Et Iesum, benedictum fructum ventris tui, nobis post hoc exsilium ostende.O clemens, O pia, O dulcis Virgo Maria.
V. Ora pro nobis, sancta Dei Genetrix.

May Poem

May

Today is first day of May,
Oh come Holy Spirit,
Show and light our way,
For each one of us today.

The crowning of Mary is soon,
Then flowers and blossoms would bloom,
As white as snow would be her gown,
And with many jewels would be her crown.

Today is first day of May,
Oh come Holy Spirit,
Show and light our way,
For each one of us today
